Lahore—Chairman Wapda Lt. Gen.(R) Muzammil Hussain met Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif Tuesday and discussed progress on various energy projects. Talking on occasion, Chief Minister said that work is being carried out expeditiously on energy projects across country including Punjab and government efforts to overcome energy shortage are proved fruitful.
He said that a lot of work has been done for installing power plants and several projects of energy generation would be completed by end of 2017, which will result in availability of thousands of megawatts electricity. He said that Pakistan Muslim League-N government is determined to remove darkness from country. He said that energy projects will not only eliminate power shortage but will also provide cheaper electricity to the people. Chairman Wapda informed the Chief Minister about progress on hydro projects.
