Elected representatives asked to resolve people’s problems

Peshawar—Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister of Local Government and Rural Development Department Inayat Ullah Tuesday said that most efficient and beneficial system of local government has been established in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and directed the elected representatives to take keen interest in solving problems of the people.
The provincial government has taken steps to strengthen the system of districts, tehsils and village councils of the local government and for this purpose a fund worth Rs.30 billion has been released to the local government departments.
This he said while addressing as chief guest at the three days training workshop of Naib Nazimeen from all over the province.
The training programme was arranged and facilitated by Local Governance School Peshawar Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Syed Jamal Uddin Shah Secretary Local Government, Chief of Project KP Javed Hassan, Director IM Sciences Mohsin, PDO Project Nighat Kamdar, Shumaila Tabassum and Nazimeen were also present on the occasion.
The senior minister further said that local government system has initiated a new era of development in the province.—APP
