“Employers Federation of Pakistan (EFP) which played a pivotal role in convincing truckers to call off their strike is now consulting lawyers for legal opinions to file a claim of Rs60 billion against the Group of Six who had petitioned the Sindh High Court to ban movement of trucks within the city of Karachi.” This was disclosed by Feroz Alam, Chairman of Corporate and Legal Affairs of EFP.
Alam added that Pakistan’s economy would have been ruined due to this surgical strike by this Group of Six. The truckers strike resulted in a loss of billions daily just because of their petition. EFP was asked by businessmen and industrialists to take up their cause and the EFP President had informed the truckers that it would go to the Supreme Court for immediate relief.
