Drug is injurious to health. It destroys humans both physically as well as mentally. But recently there is an increase in drug-use. Many young students are addicted to drugs. They use drugs believing that they release tension or just for refreshment. In the University of Peshawar, students openly use them without fear of any check. No sincere effort is being made on the part of police to control drugs. It is even alleged to be in complicity with students as their hands are greased. Recently the Government of Punjab issued instructions to Districts Education Officers for enforcing the ban on drugs in educational institution. The success of such scheme depends upon proper implementation. It is incumbent on all other provinces to start anti-drug campaigns to get rid of this menace.
