Global test in democracy..!

And as we developing countries tell the world we are democratic in nature, I wonder why we can’t pass the test of democracy that the western world goes by.
Here is an imaginary scene, with President Rajapakse of Sri Lanka, arrested, and brought before a judge in London: “So Mr President you say you are a democracy?” asks the judge in Old Bailey. “Of course, of course, I was elected in an election, see here are the results with my signature, that is my name on top, see I won hands down!” “Your signature?”
“Yes I was election officer too!” “And where is your opponent now? Sitting in the opposition benches?” “Ha, ha, ha, you must be joking judge? Gen Fonsekha is sitting in a bench in jail!”
“Jail? For what?” “For standing against me!” “Is that a crime in Sri Lanka, to stand against the President?” “You think it was correct of him to stand against me?” “Order! Order! I am asking the questions. So now you don’t have any opposition?” “Nothing judge, nothing, you must tell your Prime Minister to visit Sri Lanka, I will show him how to do it! And judge..”
“Yes President Rajapakse?” “Just imagine he was the same general who won against the terrorist Prabhakaran and his LTTE! Imagine how strong our democracy is! We were able to put the people’s darling in jail! Ha, ha, ha!”
“Talking about the LTTE!” “Gone!” “What gone?” “They are no more!” “I know you won Mr President, but what have you done with the prisoners?” “Prisoners?” “Yes, have you started rehabilitation measures? Started the process of dialogue?” “Judge!” “Yes Mr President?” “There were no prisoners!” “No prisoners?” “No, judge, ours is an able democracy, we shot all of them dead! Kaput!”
There is silence in the court before the judge proceeds: “Any court cases against you Mr President?” “Come on judge, would any judge in Sri Lanka like to spend the rest of his days with General Fonsekha in jail? No I have no court cases and I don’t see why you should be trying me, since we have such high democratic values in Sri Lanka!” “Arrest this imposter immediately..!” shouts the judge as the world applauds.
Unfortunately this did not happen; the President never went to England and remains in Sri Lanka as country head, head of the opposition, the judge and the jury..!
