Best moments in life..!

Friday, October 15, 2010 - A good friend of me sent me this, this morning and I’m going to reproduce them for you, it’s called the eight best moments in life: Giving your first salary to your parents! Thinking of your love with tears! Looking at old photos and smiling!
A sweet and emotional chat with friends! Holding hands with your loved ones for a walk! Getting a hug from one who cares you! First kiss to your child after he or she is born! The moments when your eyes are filled with tears after a big laugh! Ah well, while I do agree that these are wonderful moments, I still feel that the best moments are something else: Some of the best moments in my life are when everything around me is collapsing, I hear the sound of creditors at the door, phone calls with threatening voices asking for money, and suddenly as I cry out in despair to a God above, I feel a sense of such absolute calm, that it’s stupidly silly, and from tears there comes a smile, a grin, a chuckle, and then a deep throated laugh as I know that Somebody has taken over. What a moment! Another such time, another best moment is when I am at a hospital and a dear one goes through that door for surgery and you know the risks, you know that anything can happen, that what went in living could come out dead, and as your eyes are filled with dread, you feel a Divine presence and you smile and know that He has taken over.
One such best moment was when my daughter came home and told me how her rickshaw went for a tumble, and her friends in another rickshaw watched aghast and came running to pull her out, thinking she was seriously injured and she walked out unscathed! I heard her and thanked the One above for another such moment of praise. Oh there are many such best moments:
But there’s one thing I’ve noticed with them, when our moments are linked with the world, and with people they are short and sweet, the person you spend a beautiful moment today can become your enemy tomorrow, and the money you have today is gone the next day, but when you share beautiful moments with the One above, then those moments last and go on for ever and as you get closer to Him, they stretch on from beautiful sunsets to thundershowers, from sunny days to gloomy weather, they’re all the same. These are the best moments in life..!
