Met Office predicts dry weather


Thursday, September 19, 2013 - Islamabad—The Meteorological Department Wednesday forecast hot and dry weather in most parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with no chances of rain during next 24 hours. According to Met office Spokesman here, weak seasonal low lied over Northwest Balochistan and its adjoining areas. Mainly hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country.

In next 48 hours, mainly hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country. The weather of Parachinar will remain partly cloudy. Weather remained hot and dry in most parts of the country in last 24 hours as no reports of rain was received from any parts of Pakistan. The hottest temperature was recorded in Nokkundi 41 degree C followed by Turbat, Mithi and Dalbandin 40 degree C while pollen count yesterday remained 262 per m3 of air. The Met Office Wednesday forecast fair and partly cloudy weather in the metropolis during the next 24 hours.

The maximum temperature will remain in the range of 33C to 35C during the next 24 hours. Mainly hot and dry weather is likely to prevail elsewhere in the region, the weather forecast said. Mainly dry weather is expected over most parts of the country during the next 48 hours.

According to Met office report on Wednesday, a weak seasonal low lies over northeast Balochistan and adjoining areas, whereas yesterday’s trough of westerly wave over Kashmir and adjoining area has moved away eastwards. All the major rivers were flowing below low flood level and no significant change is expected during next seven days.—APP
