These two sectors include C-15 and C-16 and on the other hand land mafia is all set to obstructing CDA plan to materialize. CDA had acquired land for these two sectors in 2008 under land sharing policy-2007. but houses of the two sectors were not acquired. Thousands of houses have been constructed illegally so far with the sole aim for obtaining compensation and plot from CDA in return for these illegally constructed houses.
3566 kanal land was acquired for sector C-15. 1004 kanal land will be needed for constriction of 4 major roads while 322 kanal land has been allocated for railway track. Only 1134 kanal land will be left for allotment to the people. 5827 kanal land land was acquired for sector C -16. 1847 Kanal land has been earmarked for construction of 4 major road and only 1889 kanal land will be left for residential purposes.
Meanwhile, Capital Development Authority (CDA) has approved to initiate two more projects for the enhancement of income, CDA will issue municipal bonds for the construction of 2 complexes. Details said that, a complex would be made in Blue Area where CDA will provide offices on rent, while in other project in sector I-11 near Metro an auto care complex will be constructed.
In auto care complex shops will be rented to showrooms and workshops by which CDA will earn millions of rupees, while from issued municipal bonds CDA will get Rs 3 billion.—Online
