6 militants killed in Aurakzai Agency

Militants murder 3 on spying charges

Peshawar—The PAF jets and the gun ship helicopters continued pounding the hide outs of the militants in Aurakzai Agency killing six trouble makers besides destroying number of militants den.

The security forces backed by the Air Force came hard on the militants and inflicted extensive losses on them.

According to reports, the gunship helicopters bombarded suspected militants’ hideouts in Mirzar and Ghaljo areas of upper Aurakzai Agency on Sunday.

Hundreds of militants have been killed by the bombings during the past days.

There was relative calm in the violence ridden Kurram Agency.

An accord between the local Taliban and Masozai national Lashker was signed on Sunday. Under the agreement, the local Taliban released 22 hostages of Masozai clan and four vehicles. The national Lashker in return announced a ceasefire and all out support for an Islamic set up, sources said.

In the meanwhile militants killed three persons in North Waziristan on charges of spying for the US. Three dead bodies of persons, who were abducted 2 weeks ago from Mir Ali Bazaar, have been found in Ashori Adda area of Tehsil Mir Ali. A letter found on the bodies read: “Any body spying for the US will end up this way.”
