Muslim Law College students visits Shairat Court

Saturday, March 16, 2013 - Rawalpindi—Muslim Law College students Rawalpindi paid a visit to the Federal Shairat Court Islamabad to enhance their knowledge in Islamic law and techniques in practical life.

The Senior Advisor Federal Shairat Court Qazi Fazal Elahi welcomed the students in the premise while the Justice, senior most judge of the court Allama Dr Fida Muhammad Khan delivered a lecture on the establishment of the Federal Shairat Court, its jurisdiction and important judgment delivered by it.

The students asked various question regarding court proceedings and modus operandi of the court.

The Principal of Muslim Law College Chaudhry Muhammad Abdul Latif highlighted purpose of the visit to familiarize students with the basic outlines of Islamic law, to explain its religious and historical importance in Muslim societies, and to describe the elements of the Shari’ah system of reaching a decision and the role of the Muslim jurist in the process and outcome.—APP
