Highway accident claims 3 lives, 2 injured

Tuesday, February 26, 2013 - Hyderabad—A road accident on Super Highway claimed lives of three persons, including two of a family, and two others injured. The incident happened near Nooriabad industrial town between a truck and a wagon carrying passengers, according to the Motorway Police. The Edhi Welfare Foundation sources identified the deceased as 55- year- old Shahnaz, wife of Abdul Sattar, their nine-year- old son Sufyan and a two-year- old infant Saba Waqas.

Quetta: Two suspects were killed and five other arrested by Law enforcement personnel during a targeted operation on Sunday in Killa Abdullah district. According to LEA sources, Law enforcement personnel conducted raid at a house in Gulistan area near Chaman when suspects opened fire on security personnel. In retaliation, two suspects were killed and five were caught.

Arms including rocket launchers, hand grenades, Kalashnikovs and explosives were confiscated from their possession. Further investigation was underway. Vendor dies in firing: Unidentified gunmen shot dead a vendor in Turbat district, Levies Force said on Monday.

Khairpur: A Sukkur Electric Power Company (SEPCO) labourer was killed when a wall fell upon him near the grid station on Monday. According to details an employee of SEPCO Ayaz Ali Phulpoto S/o Ahmed Ali Phulpoto of village Khedo phulpoto was working near grid station, suddenly the wall of the grid station fell on him as a result he died on the spot.—APP
