Theatre held to depict life, literary work, struggle of Khushal Khan Khattak
Speaking to the Media on this occasion, The Minister for Culture and Information Mian Iftikhar Hussain said that fate of the nations could not be changed with wealth but by adopting the philosophy, thoughts and teachings of the national heroes. Therefore, he added, we are introducing to our new generation the lines and deeds of our great heroes and important personalities of this land like Rehman Baba, Khushal Khan Khattak, Pir Rokhan and Bacha Khan through Theatres plays.
He said, after successful display of Theatre play on the life and achievements of great Pashto Sufi and revolutionary poet, Abdur Rahman Baba, now a theatre play on the life of Khushal Khattak has been launched at Nishtar Hall Peshawar and its last display will be held on Wednesday (today) at Nishtar Hall Peshawar at 6:00 PM. The Minister continued that the government would do all its best to convey the messages of the heroes to each and every corner of the world and all the theatres plays would also be shifted to CDs for the guidance of next generation.
He further said that Khushal Khan Khattak was the revolutionary figure of the region who voiced against the exploitation and cruelties of the Mughal Empire and worked for the unity of Pakhtuns.
