Restoring law and order foremost priority: Magsi
Talking to this scribe in the Governor House Magsi said he had briefed the Chief Secretary Mr Babar Yaqoob Fateh to put the right man on right job for people friendly administration to mitigate their suffering without any hesitation.
He assured the officials there would be no interference in discharge of their noble task. There would not be any witch hunting and victimization.
The Governor asked the Chief Secretary that only important cases should be referred to him and all cases of routine nature should be decided by the Chief Secretary. Nawab Magsi said that the Chief Secretary should discharge his duties with confidence and he is responsible to establish the writ of the Government and ensure financial discipline.
Nawab Magsi pointed out that the law enforcing agencies were expected to produce tangible results in the maintenance of law and order and any laps in their duties would bring them for disciplinary action. The Governor pointed out that law enforcing agencies and civil administration would perform their duties with confidence as “now there is no political interference”. They are public servants to serve the people and protect them from kidnapping for ransom and target killing. To streamline the administration some changes are in offing, sources said
