Firdous: Govt to reform homoeopathy
Ch. Tahir Sultan, Adviser to AJK Prime Minister, MPA Tahir Mehmood Hundali and Dr. Mehmoodul Haq Abbasi, President National Council for Homeopathy Pakistan, were also present. The federal minister said it was the first time in history of the country that the government had recognized the services of homoeopathic doctors in the country, adding that there was a dire need to bring new reforms and legislation in the 1965 Homeopathy Act . Dr. Mehmoodul Haq Abbasi, President National Council for Homeopathy Pakistan, said the number of registered homoeopathic doctors had reached 160,000 in Pakistan.
Meanwhile, Firdous Ashiq Awan said the PPP government was committed to setting up a Seraiki province in the country. Talking to the media at Sialkot, she said Seraiki province was vital for national integrity and prosperity.
Earlier, Federal Minister for National Regulation and Services Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) led government was the guardian of democracy in the country.
Talking to media outside the Parliament House, she said PPP was striving for the rights of the masses, adding that government was strengthening institutions in the country.
