Lahore—Sayid Paper Stags beat Lahore Gymkhana Seniors by 6 wickets in 1st SPM Lahore Veterans Cricket Leauge here on Monday at Bagh-e-Jinnah ground.

Lahore Gymkhana Seniors made 173-8 with Asim Sheikh top scorer with unbeaten polished 75 not out.Alla-o-din made 24 runs.

Man of the match Shahid Nazir 4-25 and Javed Hayat 2-28 were the main wickets takers. In reply, Sayid Paper Stags achieved the target for the loss of 5 wickets with Asad Iqbal 50, Javed Hayat 46 not out and Kamran Khan 42 runs as their notable contributors. Tauseef Razzaq 2-30 was the only successful bowler. The umpires were Waleed Yaqub and Adnan Rasheed while scorer was Syed Najam us Saeed.

In the second match U-Slim Textile Tigers beat Sayid Paper Bucks by 3 wickets. Sayid Paper Bucks made 253 for all out with Shahid Rafiq shone with enterprising 108. Sohail Imran 38 and Nadeem Aslam 35 runs.

In reply U-Slim Textile Tigers achieved the target for the loss of 8 wickets. Khalid Habib made exact 100.

Rizwan Nisar 58 were the main batsmen. Javed Khan 3-42 was the only successful bowler. Khalid Habib declared man of the match. The umpires were Saif Ullah and Masood Khan while scorer was Azhar Hussain.—APP
