Staff ReporterThursday, October 18, 2012 - Peshawar—Shifa International Hospital (SIH) Islamabad, which is the country’s largest ISO certified 550-bedded tertiary care hospital, on Wednesday, opened Shifa Facilitation Center in Hayatabad area of Peshawar to provide medical facilities to patients from Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Afghanistan. Chief Executive Officer SIH Dr. Manzoor ul Haq Qazi formally inaugurated the center. The ceremony was participated by Director Strategic Planning SIH Mahmood Mirza, Director Liver Transplant Program SIH Dr. Najmul Hassan, SIH officials, consultants, doctors and notables from Peshawar and Islamabad.
Mahmood Mirza said Shifa Facilitation Center Peshawar will prove to be a central access point for patients coming to Shifa International Hospital Islamabad for treatment. This center will offer health awareness services, laboratory pickup points for laboratory tests to be performed at Shifa’s central laboratory that is one of the best laboratories in the country, appointment desk for consultants.
