Saima Bharwana meets Shahbaz

Sunday, September 23, 2012 - Lahore—Member National Assembly Saima Akhtar Bharwana called on the Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and discussed political and overall situation of the country.

Talking on the occasion, Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that blasphemy against Holy Prophet (PBUH) is an intolerable act and the entire Muslim Ummah is protesting and shocked over this mischievous and sacrilegious act.

Profane movie is like open terrorism and those responsible for this film deserve deterrent punishment, he added. He said that Punjab government of PML(N) strongly condemns this blasphemous film.

Shahbaz Sharif said that no civilized society can allow animosity against any religion in the garb of freedom of expression. He said that religious sentiments of the Muslims have been badly hurt by the sacrilegious film which is highly condemnable.

The Chief Minister said that the profane movie hurting the sentiments of the entire Muslim Ummah is a very shocking and shameful act and protest against this blasphemous film is the right of every Muslim.

However, he appealed the people to remain peaceful during protest and avoid damaging property as Islam is the religion of peace. Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that every Muslim is ready to sacrifice his life for the honour and sanctity of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
