Ex-LHC CJ’s murder plot Interim bail of accused extended

Sunday, September 23, 2012 - Lahore—The Anti-Terrorism Court extended the interim bail of accused in former chief justice of Lahore High Court, Khawaja Sharif’s murder plot case till September 24.

During the course of proceedings, the accused Tauqeer Shah and Talha Burki told the Special central judge Lahore that they had no link with the murder plot of former chief justice of LHC, Khawaja Muhammad Sharif.

‘The FIA has filed a baseless and fake case against us’, the accused added.

The FIA investigation officer said that the inquiry in the case is still not completed.

The court ordered the FIA to complete the investigation immediately and extended the interim bail of the accused till September 24.—INP
