MQM seeks early legislation on SPLGO 2012

Sunday, September 23, 2012 - Karachi—Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Saturday demanded Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah and Governor Dr. Ishratul Ebad Khan that Sindh People’s Local Governments Ordinance (SPLGO) 2012 should be tabled in the Sindh Assembly at the earliest.

A letter was written by the Muttahida’s Parliamentary Leader in Sindh Assembly Sardar Ahmed urging the top high-ups of the province to turn the SPLGO 2012 into a law.

The MQM demanded the notification be issued to raise the divisions including Karachi to the metropolitan level.—NNI
