Drainage to be part of mega projects

Friday, September 21, 2012 - Hyderabad—The Provincial Minister Jameeluz Zaman has said the development of the Matiari’s drainage system would be included in the category of mega projects. The minister informed this at a meeting with the officials of Public Health Engineering, Town Municipal Authority and Works and Services department. He said that a Sindh Cabinet meeting presided by Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah had reviewed inclusion of such a project in the mega development schemes recently. The minister said that people of Matiari experienced hardship during the monsoon rains in 2011 when the drainage system did not work efficiently.
