Conspiracies against democracy to be foiled: Riaz

Tuesday, September 18, 2012 - Lahore—Leader of Opposition in the Punjab Assembly Raja Riaz Ahmed on Monday said that conspiracies against the democratic system in the country would be foiled.

Talking to party legislators at his chamber, he said time was up for hidden hands who toppled elected governments and grabbed power.

He said it was high time that all political forces joined hands to strengthen democracy.

“Some unpopular and rejected politicians have launched a smear campaign against the PPP government but the party is popular across the country and will win the next elections with a thumping majority.—APP
