Encroachments irk people

Tuesday, September 18, 2012 - Islamabad—Illegal stalls of vegetables, fruits, clothes set up on footpaths and in front of shops in the busy market of I-10 Markaz, are causing nuisance for the buyers. The people especially women and children visiting this market face problems as all the footpaths have been occupied by the encroachers.

Moreover, the road dividing I-10 Markez and residential area of I-10 Sector, has also been occupied by the fruit vendors making it very difficult for the buyers to park their vehicles.

Ejaz ul Haq, a resident of the area, informed that after the evening, one cannot even walk through this market owing to the encroachments.

Some owners of bakeries have also set up stalls of ‘Samosa and Pakora’ in front of their shops causing hindrances for both the traffic and pedestrians. People have asked the concerned authorities to immediately remove these encroachments and obstacles from the footpaths and the market enabling them to purchase commodities and park their vehicles with ease.—APP
