Police fail to resolve mystery of body parts’ recovery

Tuesday, September 18, 2012 - Rawalpindi—Despite passage of two days police has failed to resolve the mystery of recovery of body parts from jurisdiction of various police stations. It should be mentioned that cut limbs (two legs and two arms) were recovered on Saturday from jurisdiction of three police stations while body of an unidentified person was recovered on Sunday.

However, it was not yet confirmed that human remains were of a single person or many. Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) city circle Malik Umar Hayat said that none of the three police stations have received report of missing person or murder case, adding that search for the remaining parts was underway by the investigation officers of the respective police stations.

He said identifying the person and finding the head and other body parts of the victim was their first priority. Police was trying to trace whether body parts were of local person or brought from other place after brutally killing the deceased.—INP
