Raghib appointed as Chairman Wapda

Tuesday, September 18, 2012 - Islamabad—Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf has appointed Syed Raghib Abbas Shah as the new chairman of Water and Power Development Authority (Wapda).

The appointment has been made in consultation with the Minister for Water and Power, Chaudhary Ahmed Mukhtar.

According to the spokesperson of Prime Minister’s House, the post of chairman Wapda was lying vacant after the completion of the tenure of Shakeel Durrani.

The notification regarding appointment of Syed Raghib Abbas Shah as the new Chairman WAPDA has been issued.

It merits mentioning here that Raghib Abbas Shah has previously served as Member Water in Wapda. —Online
