Jaffar Express operation suspended


Saturday, September 15, 2012 - Lahore—Pakistan Railways has suspended Jaffar Express for 5 days after tracks submerged under rain water.

The recent spell of torrential rains has damaged vast tracts of land including portion of railway track linking Balochistan.

Portion of railway track from Jaccobabad to Dera Murad Jamali has been submerged under rain water forcing Pakistan Railways to suspend services of Jaffar Express for five days.

Railway has declared emergency in rain affected area and sent mechanical and technical teams in the area to clear railway tracks.—INP
