Muslims urged to truly follow teachings of Holy Prophet (PBUH)

Friday, September 07, 2012 - Rawalpindi—By truly following the teachings of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) and Holy Quran and making Medina Munawwara the centre of gravity, the Muslim Ummah can not only reclaim its lost status in the comity of nations but can also overcome all problems and hardships.

Pir Muhammad Naqib-ur-Rehman, custodian of Eidgah shrine, stated this while addressing a large congregation in connection with the 22nd annual Urs of prominent spiritual figure Sheikhul Muhadditheen Al-Mufsareen Hafiz Pir Muhammad Habib-ur-Rehman Lasani at Eidgah Sharif here on Thursday. “This is the only way to turn the society into a cradle of peace, harmony and affection,” he added.

The custodian of Eidgah shrine said that the Muslim spiritual figures taught their followers the lesson of unity, peace, harmony and love. He said Hafiz Pir Muhammad Habib-ur-Rehman Lasani had devoted his whole life to promote the teachings of the Holy Quran and Hadith, further the great mission of the spiritual figures and reform the society.

“Hafiz Pir Muhammad Habib-ur-Rehman Lasani re-established the relationship of hundreds of thousand strayed people with Almighty Allah and lit of the light of the love with the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) in their hearts because of which his last abode is a fountainhead of guidance and advice for people even today,” he said.

Speaking on the occasion, Member National Assembly Muhammad Hanif Abbasi said that abodes of the Muslim saints are a source of guidance and the lesson of peace and love is taught there. He said that the society could be turned into a hub of peace and tranquillity through abidance by the teachings of the spiritual figures.

Addressing the congregation of thousands of devotees from across the country and abroad, Mufti Saqib Shami from the UK said that the lesson of love with the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) being taught at Eidgah Sharif because it is the only way to please Almighty Allah.

Mufti Akmal (Karachi), Allama Sher Muhammad Naqshbandi (Lahore), Allama Sajjad Ahmed Sajid, Maulana Mufti Muhammad Suleman Rizvi, Maulana Mahmood Ahmed Rizvi, Maulana Iqbal Rizvi, Allama Ghulam Ali Qamar, Allama Mateen Ahmed, Maulana Rana Zameer Ahmed, Allama Syed Arif Shah Gilani and Member Punjab Assembly Ziaullah Shah also spoke on the occasion.
