Heavy security for 3000 City Eidgahs

Monday, August 20, 2012 - Rawalpindi—Rawalpindi City is all set to hold 3000 Eid prayers’ congregations on Eid-ul-Fitr.

The local police and district administration has ensured implementation of fool-proof arrangements for all Eidgahs staging the prayers, while leaves of all police officials have been cancelled. Extra police contingents from reserves, Punjab constabulary, and special branch have been summoned for security purposes, while close-circuit cameras have been installed in mosques, Eidgahs and traffic signals.—Online
