Militants blow up school in Charsadda

Saturday, August 18, 2012 - Charsadda—Unknown militants’ blew up a government higher secondary school with explosives here on early Friday. According to details, anti-literacy militants had planted explosives with the boundary wall of a government run higher secondary school located in tehsil Shabqadar of Charsadda district which exploded with a big bang.

The blast destroyed the boundary wall and a portion of the building but no human loss was reported as school building was lying empty at the time of blast. DSP Shabqadar Circle Haji Zahir Shah visited the site of the blast and gathered the evidences. Bomb disposal squad officials said that half kilogram explosive material was used in the blast.
