Kamra Air Base attack

Saturday, August 18, 2012 - A few weeks after the CIA, ISI chiefs’ meeting, a few days after COAS General Kayani’s speech and the Independence Day, a terrorist attack on yet another military facility should be of no surprise for the people of this country. The military and civil leadership is in search of a reason to start another operation in the tribal areas of Pakistan and fuel this so called war with our armed forces. The defense minister Naveed Qamar has been so efficient in pointing out the factor behind this security lapse blaming the location of the facility to be amid residential area and infiltration is quite convenient. But what he deliberately fails to elaborate on is the presence of the “Raymond Davis Network” in Pakistan. Any informed citizen of the country would know ‘WHO’ the tenants of the posh urban localities like Gulberg and Cantt Lahore are paying rent much higher than market rates. These foreign private security companies are not here to safeguard our assets, installations and people. Their presence is to fulfill the agenda of the colonial powers i.e destabilizing the country, creating a divide between the civilians and the armed forces, generating a global image that Pakistan is not capable of protecting their sensitive assets including nuclear installations, exhausting our armed forces so they cannot fight the real enemy when the time comes. And, our leadership, be it military or civilian, is nothing more than a watchdog of their interests in the region. This attack will make way for the North Waziristan operation just as the GHQ operation did for the Orakzai Agency operation.
