Preparations for Independence Day start

Saturday, August 11, 2012 - Lahore—Preparations for the Independence Day are gaining momentum in the provincial capital.
Stalls of buntings, flags, banners, stickers and badges have been set up in different parts of the city.
A small small flag is available at Rs 200-250, a medium size at Rs 350-400 and a big one at Rs600-650.
But some huge size decorated flags are also available at Rs1000-1500.
Other items, including pictures of national heroes, placards, stickers and buntings are being sold at higher prices.
Public and private organizations, schools and departments are planning to arrange seminars, conferences, exhibitions, tableaus, rallies, shows, walks and programmes to celebrate the day.
