SHC premises security beefed up

Saturday, August 04, 2012 - Hyderabad—The Hyderabad police put in place strict security arrangements a day after a lawyer shot her sister dead inside the courtroom of Sindh High Court Hyderabad Circuit Bench. Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Hyderabad Range Sanaullah Abbasi visited the court and met the judges and registrar on Thursday. According to police spokesman Mazhar Shani, the DIG briefed them about the new security mechanism. Abbasi said that two policemen each were deployed at all the three gates of the SHC building and a similar number were also deputed at the gates and buildings of the District.
