Monitoring committees set up for fair distribution of subsidized atta
Saturday, August 04, 2012 - Karachi—Sindh Government has constituted five monitoring committees for distribution of subsidized atta under Ramzan package for all districts of the metropolis on the instruction of Sindh Chief Minister.
According to a notification issued here Friday,the monitoring committee for District East is comprising of Mrs. Nargis N.D Khan Minister, Mrs Najma Saeed Chawla MPA, Mrs Shama Arif Mithiani MPA, Mr.Moin Amir Pirzada MPA, Saeed Chawla, Younis Burneri,Khan Bhadur Shah, Aijaz Hussain, Khalid Latif and Deputy Commissioner (East).
The monitoring committee for District Malir Karachi is comprising of Haji Muzaffar Shujra Minister, Sajid Jokhio, Waseem Ahmed MPA, Raja Razzak, Saeed Afghan, Ms.Farzana Baloch, Saeed Adil Shaikh, Abdul Qadir Shar and Deputy Commissioner (Malir).
The monitoring committee of District South is comprising of Provincial Minister Rafiq Engineer, Rashid Rabbani Senior Special Assistant, Shoaib Ibrahim MPA, Abdul Razzak Agar Special Assistant, Qasim Baloch, Abdul Bari Kakar, Naimat Khan Khilji, Dr.Rafique Sarbazi and Deputy Commissioner (South).The monitoring committee of District West is comprising of Provincial ministers Nadeem Bhutto, Akhtar Jadoon, Manzar Imam MPA, Hussain Paracha, Abdul Latif Rind, Khan Mishwani and Deputy Commissioner (West).
The monitoring committee of District Central Karachi comprises of Deputy Speaker Mrs. Shahla Raza, provincial minister Khalid Bin Wilayat, Sohail Abidi, Niaz Muhammad, Saifullah Khan, Kamal Ahmed and Deputy Commissioner (Central).
According to terms of reference, those monitoring committees have be entrusted to visit ‘Sasta Atta’ stalls set up by District Administration in collaboration with Food Department and Supply & Prices Department.
These committees have been assigned to monitor the distribution of atta at the government approved prices, and will redress grievances/ complaints received from the people with regard to sale of atta under the Ramadan Package 2012. —APP
