8 killed in capital in July


Saturday, August 04, 2012 - Islamabad—At least eight people were killed in different acts of violence while 30 vehicles were stolen in the month of July in the capital city of Pakistan.

According to sources, a policeman was killed by thieves. A husband killed his wife in the name of honor in Shahzad Town.

A body of a 25-year-old youth was found from Sabzi Mandi area. He was strangled to death.

As many as 30 vehicles were stolen from the city, three kidnapping incidents and 25 robberies were reported.

The security has been beefed up to avoid any mishap in the city during holy month of Ramazan.—NNI
