Restoration of PTCL landlines demanded

Monday, July 30, 2012 - Wana—Thousands of Pakistan Telecommunication Company Ltd (PTCL) lines which is the only sources of communication in South Waziristan Agency has been lying dead while the concerned officials have turned a deaf ear to the issue and people were facing difficulties in communicating with their families and friends in far flung areas.
Sources said that around 3,000 landline phones are lying dead in four tehsils of Wana, headquarters of South Waziristan Agency, adding that the SDO office in the region was lying vacant since three months.
