TACCI meeting approves election

Monday, July 30, 2012 - Peshawar—The Executive Committee of Tribal Area Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TACCI) on Saturday approved election for the year of 2012-14 and appointed election commissioner.

The decision was made in a meeting of Executive Committee of Tribal Area Chamber of Commerce and Industry that met with its President Fiaz Ali in the chair. The meeting was attended by Senator Haji Ghulam Ali, Muhammad Akbar Khan Advocate, Senior Vice President, Usman Ghani, Executive Committee Members, Ghulam Farooq, Abdur Raheem, Haji Tamash, Rahatullah and Haleem Khan.

Secretary of the Chamber, Hayat Muhammad Khan briefed the committee members about the upcoming election and various steps to hold them in a peaceful and transparent manner. The participants, after brief discussion, agreed to appoint Dilroz Khan Election Commissioner while Tariq Mashwani and Ghulam Farooq as members.

Speaking on the occasion, President Fiaz Ali highlighted plans for the promotion of the industry in tribal areas and urged government for taking concrete steps to overcome unemployment and revive economic activities in the tribal belt.
