Govt to provide inexpensive justice to citizens: Sana


Monday, July 30, 2012 - lahore—Provincial Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs Rana Sana Ullah Khan has said the government is committed to provide inexpensive and prompt justice to the law abiding citizens at their door steps.

Talking to this news agency on Sunday, he said, billion of rupees are being spent on provision of advanced weapons to the police force. He said, modern training courses are being conducted for capacity-building of the police officers.

He said, special teams are patrolling roads to avoid any untoward incident during ‘taraveeh’ while foolproof security arrangements were made around mosques and Imam Barghas.

He said, 100 model police stations were being established in the province where entire process from registration of FIR to the challan will be completed expeditiously and in a transparent manner.

The Minister said steps were being taken to improve prosecution system and maintain close and effective coordination between the departments concerned for the early disposal of cases and bringing criminal elements to justice.—APP
