OIC summit on Syrian civil war
This writing is not in support of Bashara el Assad, nor in condemnation of the Syrian rebels, it condemns the civil war in Syria, resulting in Syrian brothers killing Syrian brothers and giving the western predatory powers a pretext to entrench themselves in the heartland of Islam. Killing of Syrian brothers is in the interests of Israel on Syria’s border, and of the Imperialist west.
An attempt is made in this article to expose the foreigners game who seem to have ignited this civil war. Syrian Army is now perhaps the only power which deters Israel from launching an Arab-Israeli war. If Syria is eliminated as a credible power, Israel can become a Super Power of the Arab World by eliminating the last of the powerful forces of the region standing against Israeli ambition to subjugate the Arab Holy lands The West is of course financing the rebellion against Bashara Al Assad on the style of Amercan – Nato intrigues against Ghaddafi after finding the cut outs the rebels who are ready to play their proxy game through fellow Syrian rebels.
‘Saddam, Ghaddafi, earlier Faisal, Arafat, the stalwarts of the Muslim world, were on the Western/US kill plans, but a la American style they had to be killed by the hand of their compatriots so that it could be claimed that their own people killed them in a people’s revolt.
The Americans and western powers made use of an old local conflict in the Syrian society. Any student of the Middle East scene knows that for a very long time there have been two centres of communal conflict in Syria, Hums and Hama. From time to time Syrian Army has been engaged in actions against extremists in those two cities. Then in Hafiz el Assad days, there have been Shia-Sunni clashes. Hams and Huma were said to be Ikhwan el Muslimin strong holds. If the same causes led to riots in Sunni strong holds in Bashara el Assad’s time it was not unusual. Before proceeding any further I may state that I am a Sunni from generations on both sides. Yet I cannot consider my sect affiliation as a source of dividing Muslims or weakening Muslim unity. Apparently the ever western mischief making agencies had infiltrated in the Sunni ranks Now in Syria the basis of civil war. Bashara el Assad is an Alavi Shia from the mountains near Damascus. From the days of Bashara’s father, Asad, the Alavies occupied the highest and sensitive posts as a natural safeguard to build a sfety belt against any mischief. Alavies are also the best fighters in the region.
There might have been some recent causes of growing disenchantment in Syrian community but the Western agencies would have found such a situation to buy the rebels and infiltrated in their ranks. Russia has quite rightly accused the West of inciting Syrian opposition, This is a game they are playing throughout the Muslim World
Now coming to some concrete suggestion of what the OIC should do. OIC should not be an adjunct to the UN and Western intervention in Syria. On the contrary, OIC should not allow the western powers to enter Syria like the Western powers did in Libya. None on their intervention should be accepted. It should be only for the OIC to find a solution to Syrian crisis. Even UN should be kept out on meddling in Syria. OIC should support Russia and China stand in the Security Council and encourage them to veto the UN meddling in Syria for it means the same thing as US and Nato powers entering Syria. Once they are there it would be impossible to get them out as is in Afghanistan.
Application of Chapter 7, that is allowing any resolution in UN to be passed under Chapter 7 will be fatal for it will allow Nato powers to undertake military action. It will be a license to US and Nato to invade Syria. Interestingly, none of the UNSC Resolutions on any Muslim issue Kashmir or Palestine were ever passed under Chapter 7 which allow use of military force and invasion to have UN resolutions to be implemented Chapter. OIC should make it clear that no Resolution on Syria under Chapter 7 will be tolerated and should not be invoked. If any foreign power invades Syria under any pretext, Syria in reprisal cannot be prevented from using any weapons it deems fit.
An OIC High Powered Commission should be formed to set into motion an immediate ceasefire between the two sides in Syria.
There should be a ceasefire of about one year with OIC Member composite military group to act as buffer between the two sides made up of Turkish-Indonesia combined force or such a neutral non Arab military combined group. There should be a Committee of Five Heads of States with the Saudi Monarch as Chairman to ensure implementation of agreements and disengagement.
After one year of stoppage of civil war, there should be free elections in Syria under the supervision of the Committee of Heads of States/Government.
Under no circumstances, UN or Western powers should have any military presence in Syria, or Ban Ki Moon should have any role in Syrian crisis.
Ban Ki Moon is equal to US State Department OIC should not be used as UN or Western powers subservient body.
