PAC meets today

Monday, July 30, 2012 - Islamabad—The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) will review the audit reports and implementation status of previous PAC directives for financial years 1996-97, 1999-2000, 2000-01, 2005-06 and 2008-09 relating to Ministry/Division/Department from July 30 to August 9.

The PAC will review the audit paras of Ministry of Privatization, Establishment Division, Election Commission of Pakistan, Ministry of Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan, Cabinet Division (CDA grants/paras), National Accountability Bureau, Ministry of Production, Ministry of National Foods, Security and Research, Federal Board of Revenue, Finance Division, Ministry of Defence (main Mainstry) and Ministry of Water & Power.

Official sources said that on the directives of Chairman PAC, Nadeem Afzal Gondal, Secretary Roomana Kakar had issued letters to the departments regarding the committee’s meeting. According to the schedule, PAC will consider deferred paras/printed paras for different financial years of Ministry of Privatization, Establishment Division, Election Commission of Pakistan, Ministry of Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan on July 31. —APP
