QMG Lt Gen Sajjad Ghani meets Shahbaz

Saturday, July 21, 2012 - Lahore—Quartermaster General Lt. Gen. Sajjad Ghani called on the Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, here today. Pace of implementation of development projects in the province came under discussion during the meeting. Director General NLC, Project Director NLC, Commander Engineering NLC, Commissioners of Lahore and Gujranwala, Secretaries of Transport and Communication & Works, Special Secretary Planning & Development, Directors General of LDA and PHA and DCO Faisalabad were also present.
Talking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that Punjab government is following a comprehensive programme of transparent and expeditious completion of development projects while special emphasis is being laid on quality of construction work. He informed that Pakistan’s biggest transport project, Metro Bus Service, has been launched at a cost of Rs.28 billion, whereas overhead bridges and underpasses are also being constructed in the big cities for the convenience of the masses.
