Dr. Fehmida Mirza welcomes launching of AP Gallerie

Saturday, July 21, 2012 - Islamabad—Abida Parveen, the queen of Sufi music, has joined the ever growing list of celebrity designers by launching her first multi designer outlet in capital city. The first outlet of the AP Gallerie opened its doors to the convivial crowd of Islamabad on Friday.
Dr. Fehmida Mirza, Speaker National Assembly and Shahnaz Wazir Ali, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister graced the launch of the Gallerie. Dr. Fehmida termed the opening of the AP Gallerie as a fresh attempt to build a soft image of Pakistan. She also lauded the contribution of Pakistani artistes in particular the traditional artists such as Abida Perveen for taking a new initiative and opening path for emerging talent of the country.
Since the lady speaker also happens to be fan of the great artist, she spent more than an hour at the newly-opened Gallerie and bought photographs and CDs of the great artist.
A glamorous red carpet launch event was arranged by Rezz Aly Shah while super model hostess Natty and star Syed Ali Murtaza hosted the event that was attended by a number of dignitaries and celebrities. Top celebs including Atif Aslam and Laila Zuberi were also present at the launching ceremony.
Abida Parveen, a legendary artist who mastered the classical music and mystical poetry, has been an iconic figure in Pakistan and abroad.
Her latest venture, supported by her daughters Pereha Ikram and Marium Hussain, is also intended to be a symbol of difference, set by the legendary vocalist.
The classy multi designer outlet with areas of Art, Jewelry and Fashion areas set in this double story premises situated in the heart of new Islamabad, in F 10 sector.
In its quest to showcase an array of designer products under one roof, AP Gallerie has arranged an exclusive section for designer wears in which befitting space has been provided for the most popular designer products ranging from bridal wear to casuals and from embroidery boutique to branded shoes. Branded apparel by Nadia Mistry, Asim Jofa, Mashal Moazzam, Taufeeq Hussain , Ahmed Bilal, Syeda Minahil, Cayma Imran, Vasim Asghar , Abida Lodhi, BB Shireenay and AP Colors would be available for the current season.
