SC accepts petitions against Army Act

Saturday, July 21, 2012 - Islamabad—The Supreme Court on Friday accepted petitions against Army Act Rule 13 for hearing.

A three-member bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry heard the case and issued the notices to Attorney General and Defence Ministry for August 27. The apex court observed that it was mandatory to mention the reasons of punishment in court martial law.—INP
