Pass percentage among girls was recorded at 85 per cent and among boys 81 per cent. Candidates from 5,027 Madaris participated in Dars-e-Nizami and 6,586 Madaris in Tafheez-ul-Quran examinations. Total 1,366 examination centres were set up in four provinces besides AJK, tribal areas and Gilgit-Baltistan and 7,494 people were deputed to conduct these examinations.
The process of marking of papers began on June 24, 2012 and concluded on July 7 last and 750 Ulema from across the country participated in it under personal supervision of president WMAP Maulana Saleemullah Khan. Giving details of results, Maulana Hanif Jalindhary said Hussain Ahmad Madni from Jamia Darul Uloom Karachi secured first position in Darja-e-Aalmia (MA part II), Muhammad Abu Ubaida from Jamia Tul Uloom Al-Islamia Binori town Karachi stood second while Safiullah from Darul Uloom Karachi secured third position.
Uzma Jamil from Jamia Tul Uloom Al-Islamia Binori town Karachi secured first position in Darja Aalmia (MA) examinations. Bushra Qaisar from Madarsah Nizamia Nazimabad Karachi and Maryam from Madarsah Fatima Tuz Zahra Abottabad secured second and third positions, respectively. Abdul Wahab, Muhammad Waseem Akram, Muhammad Abu Bakar of Darul Uloom Karachi secured first, second and third positions ,respectively in Darja Mauqoof Alaih examinations.
Abdul Ghafoor (Jamia Usmania Peshawar) and Muhammad Zohaib (Jamia Uloom Binori town) stood first in Darja Aalia (BA) examinations.—APP
