‘Govt to tap KP natural resources’
Addressing a function here, the federal minister said the recently inaugurated Khan Khwar Hydropower project at Bisham will generate 72 megawatt electricity for the people that would address energy prob-lem with great extent. The minister said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was very rich in natural resources and the government was working day and night to fully tap potential.
He said that Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ameer Haider Khan Hoti had recently inaugurated the 69 MW Lawi hydropower pro-ject in the Drosh Valley of Chitral to overcome energy shortage.
`He also said that more hydropower projects would be initiated in the region to overcome the energy crisis, adding the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government had framed a comprehensive action plan to solve the energy problem once and for all.
Bilour said that ANP has fulfilled most of the promises made with public during last election by giving identity to Pakhtuns and provincial autonomy to federating units. He said that renaming NWFP as Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the stature of Pakhtuns inside and overseas have been en-hanced. He said Pakhtuns have paid heavy price in war against terrorism and their sacrifices would not go waste.
The minister said that Pakhtuns were writing a new chapter of brav-ery and sacrifice. He said that 450 workers and leaders of ANP have lost their lives in bomb explosions and we expressed full sympathies with 30,000 peoples and Pakhtuns who were martyred in war against terrorism.
The federal minister said that popularity graph of ANP are increasing with each passing day referring to by-election in Mardan.
He said elements are came out by taking the name of religion, bring-ing revolutions and Tsunami to grab the attention of masses but they would face crushing defeat in upcoming general election due to their past ill-performance.
He said ANP will again form government in Khy-ber Pakhtunkhwa on the basis of development work and giving identity to Pakhtuns.
