Monday, July 16, 2012 - Lahore—A seminar, aimed at streamlining the implementation of all local taxes including property tax besides enhancing the system of tax recovery was held here today under the auspices of Local Bodies Department. The seminar was presided over by Secretary Local Government, Khyzer Hayat Gondal.
The seminar, which was conducted with the cooperation of World Bank and Punjab Municipal Development Fund Company, was attended by Tehsil Municipal Officers of all districts, and Tehsil Officers of Finance and Regulation Departments.
The Director General Excise also attended the seminar on a special invitation, and informed the participants, in detail, about various steps taken by the Punjab Government regarding implementation and recovery of taxes, in the province.
