Special Sehr and Iftar arrangements for prisoners

Monday, July 16, 2012 - Lahore—Special efforts have been made on the direction of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif in all jails for immaculate arrangements for proper Sehr and Iftar of Muslim prisoners during Ramazan and to ensure the provision of hygienic food in accordance with jail manuals.

Inspector General Prisons Punjab Mian Farooq Nazeer told APP here Sunday that over 50,000 under-trial prisoners and convicts, confined in 30 jails across the province will observe fast during the holy month of Ramazan-ul-Mubarak.

Special lectures on Islamic values will be delivered to prisoners by religious personalities at jail mosques on daily basis.—APP
