Measures exlored to better cope with future floods
They expressed these views at a programme “focused group meeting of senior journalists” arranged by Action Aid Pakistan here the other day. In his opening remarks, Action Aid Country Director Jamal Ahmad said that in this era of growing challenges print as well as electronic media had been playing a highly significant role to create awareness among various segments of society.
“For a democratic state, media plays a multi-dimensional role to have check on various government organizations on the one hand and on the other it is a source of information to relay message in greater national interests,” Jamal added.
