EOBI collects Rs 900m above fixed target

Wednesday, July 11, 2012 - Karachi—Employees Old Age Benefits Institution has collected Rs 900 million above its assigned target of Rs 10 Billion for the financial year 2011-12, inspite of unfavourable economic conditions.
Chairman EOBI Zafar Iqbal Gondal praised the performance of EOBI’s field staff and said “Employees Old Age Benefits Institution is a welfare organization and it is doing its level best to bring about a positive change in the life of working community of industrial, commercial and other organizations.”
Chairman further said that during the tenure of the present Government EOBI benefits package for its registered employees has been improved & currently it is paying Rs. 900 million every month to over 400,000 pensioners.
Director General (Operations) Javed Iqbal presented the results in a detailed briefing on collection of contribution from registered employers and employees.
