New cadre of Para-Statisticians proposed

Wednesday, July 11, 2012 - Lahore—Founding President/Patron of Islamic Countries Society of Statistical Sciences (ISOSS) and Rector National College of Business Administration & Economics (NCBA&E), Professor Dr Munir Ahmad has proposed that Government of Pakistan should create a new cadre of Para-Statisticians who have specific qualifications for the positions.
He was addressing the 9th International Conference on Statistical Sciences organized by ISOSS at NCBA&E Campus. Dr. Munir Ahmad said a detailed report is being prepared in this regard. In the past he proposed a number of awards for young statisticians who could not be implemented for want of responses from statisticians.
He added that he is going to propose ISOSS Awards and hope that this time support will be received from all over.
