Shahbaz for improved Thana culture


Wednesday, July 11, 2012 - Lahore—Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has directed that Thana culture should be further improved and due respect should be extended to the aggrieved and helpless persons besides redressing their grievances.

He was presiding over a high level meeting to review law and order situation at his Tent Office, set up at Sports Stadium, during his visit to Sargodha today.

The meeting was attended by Members National and Provincial Assemblies and high-ranking government servants. The Chief Minister appreciated effective and strategic steps taken by local police to recover looted ornaments, arms and ammunition and stolen cattle.

During briefing by RPO Sargodha, the Chief Minister ordered provision of more funds for improving performance of Sargodha Police and said that steps are already being taken to increase the strength of Punjab Police.—APP
