Inaugural ceremony of judicial complex on July 16

Wednesday, July 11, 2012 - Rawalpindi—Inaugural ceremony of newly constructed Judicial Complex would be held on July 16 and preparations in this regard are in full swing.

The complex contains around 50 full furnished and central air-conditioned courts, which were constructed in accordance with international standard while shifting of staff and office’s furniture into the complex has been started.

Meanwhile, Lawyers community and citizens have expressed concerns over non shifting of several courts, including four accountability courts and local courts in the judicial complex , saying free and speedy justice would be provided to consumers, if all the courts shifted in the complex.

They said the Session Judge’s court setup in a building, which was hired by the Punjab government on rent in Lalkurtai and is not accessible to consumers. Likewise several other courts are setup separately, causing inconveniences to lawyers and consumers, they added.—Online
